Tanavob (Periodicity) directed by Ali Khoshdooni Farahani won the best short film and best directing awards.

Kaveh Mazaheri’s ‘Retouch’ grabbed the best screenplay award while the best documentary prize went to ‘We Skate in Iran’ by Benyamin Ariani.

Homayoun Ershadi took home the best short film actor award for his appearance in ‘Blue Lantern’ and the best short film actress award was dedicated to Katherine Aslani for her role in ‘Red Peace’.

Iranian short animation ‘Switchman’ directed by Mehdi Khorramian also won the best animation prize.

Launched in 2008, Iranian Film Festival (IFF), the first independent Iranian film festival outside of Iran is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world.

IFF is also a platform for the Iranian filmmakers living around the globe to express their vision and talent through the artistic medium of film.
